Realme Watch Launched in India for Rs 3,999

Along with its first Smart TV, Realme has also announced its first smartwatch, the Realme Watch, in India. The smartwatch has been extensively talked about and leaked for quite some time now, and now it is finally official. Some of the highlights of the watch include a touchscreen display, real-time heart rate monitor, blood-oxygen-level meter, among others. Let’s dive to learn more about the smartwatch.

Realme Watch: Design and Display

In terms of design, the Realme Watch features a square design, with rounded corners and a power ON/OFF button on the right. It has IP68 water resistance, which means, users no longer have to worry about removing their watch in most situations. Towards the front, the watch comes with a 1.4-inch touchscreen display with 323ppi pixel density and 380 nits of brightness. The display has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top to preserve the display from scratches. Realme Watch comes in only one color option, Black. It offers two strap designs: Classic and Fashion, with four different colors: Black, Blue, Red, and Green.

Users get the option to pick a watchface from the 12 built-in faces or download more from the Realme Link app. By default, the set watchface on the smartwatch provides information like time, date, weather, steps, heart rate, and calories.

Realme Watch: Internals

Talking about hardware, the smartwatch comes with a heart-rate sensor, vibration motor, 3-axis accelerometer, and Bluetooth 5.0. To power the internals, it includes a 160mAh battery, which the company suggests offers 7-9 days of battery life on a single charge, with the power saving mode claiming to extend it to 20 days. The smartwatch connects over Bluetooth and the Link app, which further expands the scope of usability. With the app installed on their phones, users can enable different features and sync the data to get more details about their health.

Realme Watch: Features

When it comes to health tracking, the Realme Watch comes with a real-time heart rate monitor to offer 24-hour uninterrupted monitoring, with alerts on when the heart rate drops or rises above the average recordings. Besides heart rate, the watch also aids with detecting blood-oxygen levels, which is another crucial health metric. Moving to fitness, users get support for up to 14 different sports mode like Outdoor Run, Walk, Indoor Run, Outdoor Cycle, Aerobic Capacity, and more along with the usual tracking features such as step monitoring, sedentary reminder, sleep monitoring, etc.

What’s more, the watch offers smart notifications, which means, once a user connects the watch with their phone, they can receive notifications for almost all the different apps (including third-party apps) present on their phones. In addition, users also get a few smart features to simplify operations. Some of these include the ability to control music, take calls, etc with the watch, without having to use the phone and automatic phone unlocking when a user (wearing the watch) is in close proximity to the phone.

Realme Watch: Pricing and Availability

The Realme Watch carries a price tag of Rs 3,999. It will be available starting June 5 on realme.com and Flipkart, with offline stores soon.
