Earlier on, investing in Bitcoin or any other Cryptocurrency in India was not exactly an easy task. Until recently, one had to route their money to foreign exchanges and buy crypto coins. Thankfully, things have changed in the recent past with India based services like Zebpay, Unocoin, and Koinex. I have personally been using Koinex since it not only supports multiple cryptocurrencies but also offers the lowest difference between buying and selling price. And finally, Koinex has announced the official app for the Google Play store.

Koinex was scheduled to launch their Android app way back in November 2017, and the deadlines kept pushing further. Koinex has now finally decided to launch the app on February 12th on Google Play store. The app is likely to offer all the features that are currently being offered by the Koinex website.

The wait is over.

Koinex allows users to trade in various cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash. It is an open order book P2P digital assets exchange. The exchange can also be used to convert fiat money into cryptocurrency and vice versa. On a related note, Unocoin is also launching a multi-crypto exchange and the same will also make it to the Unocoin app across both Android and iOS.

Indian Government is currently taking a hard stance on the whole cryptocurrency issue, and it has been a couple of months since exchanges are not able to process INR deposits or withdrawals. Apparently, the banks had an issue with processing the payments since there is no regulation when it comes to cryptocurrency. As assured earlier, Koinex has now resumed its INR payments and withdrawals and has also opened up the floodgates for new registrations.

On a separate note, I have seen a couple of Koinex clones doing rounds on the Play Store. When it comes to crypto space, it is always advisable to trust the official app and trade safely.
