Photolemur is the Most Advanced and Effortless Professional Photo Editor I’ve Used

It wouldn’t be a modern-day smartphone picture if the user didn’t take pour in a gazillion of filters before sharing it to a tens of social networks and group chats. However, there are times when it’s beyond your capabilities to mend a hideous shot. That’s where professional tools come in. Unfortunately, they are not as easy to master as you’d hope for. Even advanced smartphones apps like Snapseed can be daunting if you’re not familiar with the fundamentals.

Thankfully, there are a few companies who are trying to overcome this and make pro editing skills accessible to everybody. One of these is “Photolemur” who have built a desktop app that automatically tunes all the core aspects of your flawed picture. Your job is to only drag the file to the app and let Photolemur take care of the rest.

Photolemur does so by employing a multitude of artificially intelligent algorithms. The company says these frameworks were trained on more than a million images shot by a team of photographers. The app processes your picture for correcting primarily twelve factors. This includes color correction, setting the exposure right, retaining the sky’s sharpness if the camera fails to, eliminating any haze or fog, white balance, and a bunch more.

In addition to that, Photolemur 2.2 Spectre can intelligently fix your RAW pictures without the need for any extra software like Photoshop which is just astonishing. After testing it out with a dozen of my images, I did find Photolemur surprisingly accurate. In the majority of instances, it’s as impressive as Photolemur advertises. It can, though, at times, overdo the settings producing an artificial looking outcome. It also lets you preview both the before and after shots. However, you can adjust the filter strength to your liking. That’s, in fact, the only setting the app comes with.

By now, you must have realized a lot of effort went into creating Photolemur. Despite that, Photolemur is mostly free. The free version won’t allow you to edit photos in batches and on top of that, adds a watermark. If you want to remove these limitations, you will have to shed at least $29. Although I would recommend going for the $49 plan that lets you activate it on five devices. Therefore, you can share it with a few friends bringing the price effectively down to $10 each. You can download Photolemur from the link down below. It’s available for both Windows and Mac. Photolemur says it’s not currently working on a smartphone app but will probably look at that in the future.
