After the official unveiling in Indonesia, the Vivo V7 has finally launched in India. It’s the sibling of the Vivo V7+ which was announced in the country earlier this year. Naturally, the all-new Vivo V7 shares a lot in common with the V7+. The similarities start right from the design and extend to the internals.
The Vivo V7 features a metal unibody design with characteristic antenna lines running across the back of the device. Compared to the Vivo V7+, the V7 features a markedly smaller footprint. It’s due to the presence of a more compact 5.7-inch HD+ display. The Chinese OEM has apparently made use of the new 18:9 aspect ratio for the IPS display of the Vivo V7. The device boasts an excellent 83.6% screen o body ratio. Furthermore, the display is covered by a 2.5D curved glass.
Underneath, the Vivo V7 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor. This octa-core processor is also found in the bigger and costlier Vivo V7+. That aside, the phone has a 4GB LDDR4 RAM and 64GB internal storage. In fact, the RAM and the storage comprise the few major differences between the Vivo V7 and V7+. For the uninitiated, the Vivo V7+ came with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The camera department of the Vivo V7 too has been carried forward from its elder sibling. The mid-range smartphone comes with a 24MP selfie shooter. This is accompanied by 16MP rear snapper mated with a LED flash.
