Microsoft All Set to Rollout Windows 10 Fall Creators Update on October 17

Microsoft has finally announced the release date for the upcoming Windows 10 Fall Creators update. Terry Myerson announced at the IFA 2017 keynote that the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update will be available starting from 17 October. Needless to say the company has been testing the release with its army of Insiders and the fall update is expected to feature an impressive change log.

The Windows 10 Fall Creators Update will support the Windows Mixed Reality headsets and this is a big thing since the Windows 10 will be one of the first to offer native support for AR/VR. As we are already aware OEM’s are expected to pull the wraps from their headsets on October 17 while the others will follow suit.

Moving on, the next best thing that the Windows 10 Fall Creators update has to offer is the Timeline feature. With this, one would be capable of switching between multiple devices including those running on Android and iOS. In essence, the Timeline is a platform agnostic Windows Continuity feature. Microsoft will also be tossing in a universal clipboard, one that allows you to copy paste things back and forth between phones and PCs.

People Integration is apparently a new way to pin your favorite characters on the task bar and this also extends to OneDrive. The best part is that the OneDrive files can be accessed without having to sync the folder in entirety. Microsoft is also expected to bring some changes in the UI. The new design philosophy is called “Fluent Design” and this will aim at addressing native app designs.

Emoji Picker will let you find the emoji faster in any of the Windows 10 apps. Other new features will include the integrated eye tracking (in beta) and improvements to stylus support. The final Windows 10 Fall Creators update is currently being tested by insiders and the final build will also be run by the Windows insiders.
