ZTE’s online-exclusive brand, Nubia has added yet another selfie-centric smartphone to its lineup in India with the launch of the new Nubia M2 Lite. The handset was originally unveiled in China a couple of months ago and is now available here through Amazon at a price of Rs 13,999 starting from 12 pm IST tomorrow. The primary cornerstone here, ofcourse, is the 16MP front-facing camera and a relatively impressive design which you can only purchase in Black.
As far as the specifications are concerned, there’s a 5.5-inch HD panel with 2.5D curved glass up front and the M2 Lite is powered by MediaTek’s octa-core Helio P10 processor along with 4GB of RAM, and Mali T860 GPU. There’s only a single storage option available – 32GB, although there is support for MicroSD card up to 128GB. Surprisingly, Nubia has provided Android Marshmallow for the India, unlike the China variant which runs on the newer Android Nougat.
Underneath, there’s a 3000mAh non-removable battery with fast charging support and connectivity options include 4G VoLTE and Bluetooth 4.0. The M2 Lite also features something called “NeoPower 2.5 suit” which claims to improve the battery life through a range of internal optimizations. Furthermore, there’s a fingerprint scanner embedded under the home button present as well. Lastly, the camera arrangement houses a rear 13MP f/2.2 lens, a single Led Flash and a 16MP front-facing f/2.0 79.8-degree wide angle shooter with a Soft Led Flash.
Commenting further on the launch, Eric Hu, Country Head, Nubia India said, “Nubia as a brand identifies with the youth. In India we see young people with a lot of energy, passion and desire to do more in society. M2 Lite is a product inspired by such youngsters who are creating a mark in society. We have created a product that looks stylish, matches the aspiration levels and performs superlatively. Be yourself is not just a tagline we believe in it and with the M2 Lite our customers can capture moments that are true to their style.”
