Apple TV Expected to get Multi-User Support and Picture-in-Picture Mode with tvOS 11

Apple TV is speculated to get a host of new features with the tvOS 11 which is most likely to be announced during the Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in June this year. The features that we are talking about is Expected to bring the Apple TV platform a notch up and help it compete with the other platforms.

As per the site The Verifier, multi-user support will mark its appearance along with tailor onscreen content associated with the particular account. What this means is that multiple users can access the Apple TV and each one of them will be served with their preferences and watchlist. Along with the personal Apple Music, iCloud and iTunes folks will also start seeing the apps.

Once the profiles are connected/linked up with the TV it’s just a simple press of a button that will help users negate between two accounts. The sources further elucidate that the feature despite being in the advanced stage might only be available in later builds. Other mention worthy features that are speculated to land up on Apple TV include, tvOS feature and picture in picture mode allowing users to catch up with a live stream at the corner of the screen while still accessing the other apps.

Apple is also expected to bake in a live programming guide and may offer different types of TV subscription through its content partners. The same site has also earlier claimed that iOS 11 will offer group video calls in Facetime and better SIRI integration on iMessage and iCloud. That being said the rumors may not exactly turn out to be true, but again if you think of it these are some of an essential feature that the Apple TV is missing out on and it’s kind of a no-brainer for Apple to include the same.
