Usually, there are two or three cars that rival each other in the supercar category. But I can think of at least six different cars that could be supercars. So, Ferrari replaced the 458 with the 488 GTB. But is it still on top? Is it even in Italy? (FYI Koenigsegg and Pagani are not in this category because they are in the over £500,000 category) Let’s take a look.

FERRARI 488 GTB

We start with the favorite car of the bunch, the Ferrari 488 GTB. From looking at the pictures, I think we can all say that this car is really good. Some people might say that it looks a bit like the 458, but Ferrari has made some improvements to the bodywork to make it more aerodynamic and look better. In terms of price, the Ferrari is around the £184,000 mark. This is almost as much as a Lamborghini Huracan. Ferrari has taken away the special V8 in their 458 and replaced it with a 3.9L twin-turbocharged V8. I thought they would never put a turbocharger in one of their own cars, but they did it! The car has two turbochargers. They make a lot of power for the car, 661bhp, and 560lb-ft of torque!

The chassis of this car is very good. It feels comfortable and it controls the car well. When you start going faster, it tells you how fast you are going and then lets you know what’s happening to the car. Thanks to the turbocharged V8, the car is really fast. It does not take long for the car to go from 0-62mph. This car can go 205mph. That is not special, but it is still fast enough. This car has good aerodynamic technology and lines that are clean below the door. I don’t think it is as good as the 458 Italia though.

LAMBORGHINI HURACAN

In the mind of Ferrari, their main rival is Lamborghini. The Huracan starts at £181,000 and is three thousand pounds less than the Ferrari. In my opinion, this is not a big difference! I couldn’t decide if the Lamborghini or Ferrari looked better. The Lamborghini looks more like a Lamborghini, but the Ferrari is more slick and aerodynamic.

Lamborghini has decided to stick with their German uncles and use a 5.2-liter V10 engine. This engine produces just over 600 horsepower, which is 100 less than the other big brother of theirs, the Aventador. The 0-60 is 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 202mph. The Ferrari’s stats are slightly faster, but not by much.

MCLAREN 720S

This is a new car. It is a replacement for the 650S, and it has a starting price of about $210,000. That is more than the 488GTB, but why does this one cost more? The engine of the car is like the one in a Ferrari. It’s 4L twin-turbocharged V8. But it is exciting because it makes 710 bhp, more than a Lamborghini Aventador and less than a Ferrari F12. This new car can go 60 mph in 2.8 seconds just like its brother, the P1. It can also go 212 miles per hour! It is 1.42 tonnes and has two seats. This new car will outrun, outbreak, and outlap the hybrid P1 which was once the supercar of all hyper.

The new 720S is more dynamic than the old one. It may not be completely new, but it is still different from the old one. It’s hard to tell who is prettier. But in our opinion, the Italian cars are better and cheaper. They’re just slower than the 570 cars and they’re only a little bit worse for driving on roads.

ASTON MARTIN VANQUISH S

This car is like the other car from the U.K. The Aston Martin Vanquish S starts at $200,000. It is less expensive than McLaren but more expensive than the competition in Italy. Aston Martin is a great car that produces 592bhp, which is close to the Lamborghini Huracan. The car has 592 horses. This means it takes 3.4 seconds to go from 0-60 and can go up to 202mph. It is very similar to the Huracan.

One thing that is really good about the Vanquish is that you can drive it from London to Lake Como and it will be smooth, peaceful and elegant. I’m not sure if it can take the place of my favorite movie, but it would be close.

FORD GT

I am not sure if the Ford is a supercar. But it costs a lot of money, £320,000. That’s more than £100,000 more than the Ferrari 488 GTB. The Ford is a car. It has an engine and it can produce power. That power is much less than the 720S, but it’s still more than the Huracan and Vanquish. This car can go very fast. It goes 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, and it has the fastest top speed of all the cars we have looked at so far (216 mph).

The GT will be good for high speeds and it will also have active aerodynamics, race-inspired pushrod suspension, and track-honed settings. The fast Ford should be a strong rival against the models of cars that are similar to it. There are many models that are like the new McLaren 720S. The big question is if it is worth $320,000? I’m not sure.

HONDA NSX

This is the only car from Asia that can rival cars from the U.K. and Italy. This car wins on price out of all the other cars we have looked at so far in this article. In the base model of the car, you have a price of £140,000. This is less than half of what the Ford GT costs. The engine in this car is similar to that in a Ford and produces 573bhp. The NSX from Honda can go from 0-60 in 2.9 seconds and can go 192 miles per hour. I think it is a good car for £140,000. This car is like the Audi R8, Porsche 911, Jaguar F-Type SVR, and even the Nissan GT-R. It is a budget supercar that rivals them. But I don’t know if it can be better than the top dogs.

JAGUAR F-TYPE SVR

You can argue if the F-Type is a supercar or not, but it is. If you think that the NSX, 911, and GT-R are then so does an F-Type. Particularly the SVR, the top-of-the-line Jag. At £110,000, the SVR is well priced. It has a good old engine that will make it fast. To go from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and to have a top speed of 200mph is good because no other car can do this too! I like this car better than the two other cars. The 911 and NSX. I think it is about the same as the Nissan GT-R. It looks very good, too!

PORSCHE 911 GT3 RS

The price of this car is £132,000. This is more than the Jaguar F-Type SVR and needs to be worth as much as the Jaguar F-Type SVR. With 500 horsepower, this Porsche has less power than any other of its rivals. But the 0-60 time is 3.3 seconds and it can go up to 197 miles per hour. I don’t think it is as pretty as the Jaguar though.

NISSAN GT-R NISMO

If we want to include the Nissan GT-R in our list, we need to pick the Nissan GT-R NISMO. It starts at about $140,000. That’s almost the same as the NSX. It is a little more expensive than the 911. But now there is another car called F-Type SVR that has become like the GT-R. This car has 600bhp, which means it can go from 0 to 60 in 2.6 seconds and can go 196mph!

AUDI R8 V10 PLUS

The final one of these all, the Audi R8. It has a 5.2 liter V10 that is similar to the Lamborghini Huracan and produces 610 horsepower, running from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 3.2 seconds and reaching an astonishing top speed of 205 mph. The total cost of this is 138,000 pounds. It is more than the Jaguar F-Type SVR and Porsche 911 GT3 RS but less than the Honda NSX and Nissan GT-R NISMO.
