Titleist launched its new TSR2 and TSR3 hybrids today, and although they won’t be available until February for fittings and sales, there is plenty to look forward to.
Titleist’s two hybrid designs offer two different advantages. While the TSR2 is geared toward forgiving speed and performance, the TSR3 offers workability and precision for shot-shaping and accuracy in any condition.

Both are designed for certain player levels and styles. Principal Product Manager for Titleist Tom Bennett detailed that:
“Players can choose between the more classical shape and high launch of the TSR2 or the refined profile and adjustability of the TSR3. Both clubs provide a fast, forgiving, and high-launching long-iron alternative that gives the golfer the confidence to pull off any shot.”
TSR2
Titleist’s TSR2 hybrid is a high-launching, mid-low spin long-iron replacement. It is suitable for mid-to-high handicappers as its extended blade length and deep center of gravity offer forgiveness. Its reimagined sole shape also improves turf interaction, so mishits will not be penalized as severely, thanks to Titleist’s engineering.
Available in 18°, 21°, and 24° lofts, Titleist will also offer head weight adjustability in the TSR2 that is available in drivers and fairway woods for a unique tailored feel for each player.
Titleist says the TSR2 hybrids are classically shaped, which means it offers a slightly lengthened blade length for maximum forgiveness and speed.
TSR3
The TSR3 hybrid offers less forgiveness due to its refined shape, which was inspired by some of the best-sellers that Titleist has brought to the market in past years. It offers a flatter shot trajectory, and players can adjust feel with a new 5-position SureFit Adjustable CG Track System.
Available in 19°, 21°, and 24° lofts, the TSR3 has an iron-like hybrid profile with a slight offset reduction.
Higher body inertia also helps keep stability, and twist and deflections are less likely to happen in tougher conditions.

Other Features
Players will be able to take shots aggressively thanks to Titleist’s implementation of new sole relief pockets that help club head speed through difficult conditions. Less friction with the turf provides players with the ability to avoid club drag and grab.
