A trio at the U.S. Amateur, which takes place this week at The Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, New Jersey, will be known as the “Seinfeld grouping” and it can’t be a coincidence that these three golfers were put together.

Mark Costanza, Hazen Newman, and Campbell Kremer will be teeing off at 7:20 a.m., with the three sporting famous last names from the show.
From left to right:
George Costanza: Jerry’s best friend, who was based off the real-life exploits of co-creator Larry David.
Cosmo Kramer: Jerry’s eccentric neighbor with the tall hair and memorable entrances into the apartment (the spelling isn’t quite right here, but it’s close enough).
Newman: Jerry and Kramer’s neighbor, postal worker, and Seinfeld’s arch enemy in the show. No known first name.
The reaction to the pairings was immediate on social media.

The @USGA has created the greatest pairing for next week’s US Amateur. Our favorite golfer @campbellkremer reuniting with some old friends Newman & Constanza. I hope Campbell has “Stan the Caddie” on his bag. “You’re close, you’re on the green, you just have to go for the cup” pic.twitter.com/yEfgitCI0R

So far, the USGA is letting the pairing speak for itself, as they have not commented on who in the organization has a sense of humor.
