Handicap 54 has been on-point this year when it comes to defectors to LIV Golf, and Watson fits the bill. He’s a two-time Masters winner but also hasn’t won since 2018. At 43, he has a name, yet his best golf is likely behind him.
The report goes on to say that Watson will join the series in 2023 and will also be a team captain. LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman said last week after the Open Championship that the LIV Golf fields are full for the remaining six events this calendar year.
