It’s now just over a month until Christmas, which means it’s time to start thinking about buying presents (and writing your own Christmas lists too). So what are the best Christmas gifts for a Table Tennis player?

In this article, I’ll go through some of my favourite gift ideas and show you a few of the things that have made it onto my Christmas list. The list is in no particular order, just ten of my favourite ideas.

1. Online Table Tennis Coaching

If you’re serious about taking your Table tennis to the next level (or you’re buying a present for someone who is) why not consider paying for some online table tennis coaching!

Are you fed up of ugly looking bat cases? I was, so I decided to do something about it! Towards the end of 2014, I teamed up with my good friend Sam Priestley (from The Expert in a Year Challenge) and together we started our own brand of table tennis equipment – Eastfield Sporting Goods Co.

Treat yourself, or whoever you are buying for, to some of the new plastic (poly) table tennis balls. You may not like them as much as the celluloid, but you’re going to have to get used to them, so why not buy some for a friend or ask for some more yourself.

6. Butterfly Amicus Professional Table Tennis Robot

This is the ultimate table tennis robot! The Butterfly Amicus Professional was released in 2015 and has every feature you would expect from a top-of-the-range robot – 8 balls per drill, memory space for 99 saved drills, and three heads that can produce every spin and no spin balls.

You won’t find a better table tennis robot. The Amicus Professional is almost as good as training with a professional coach!

7. Mizuno Wave Drive Table Tennis Shoes

Most of the top Chinese table tennis players choose to wear Mizuno Wave Drive shoes. If they’re good enough for Ma Long and Zhang Jike, that’s good enough for us!

The Mizuno Wave Drive is low, lightweight, and grippy. It also has plenty of mesh – to allow your feet to breathe. Treat your feet!

8. BTSKY Retractable Table Tennis Net

If you fancy a bit of social ping pong you can’t go far wrong with a BTSKY Retractable Table Tennis Net. It’s a net that lets you play absolutely anywhere and is so easy to use; just unroll and clip onto any surface. They look great, come in a range of colours and are super cheap too.

9. Stiga Advantage Table Tennis Table

Is it possible to buy a competition-ready table tennis table for less than $400? It is now! The Stiga Advantage is surely the best budget table tennis table on the market and would make the perfect Christmas present for the home of a table tennis player.

It features a 16mm table top, a professional Stiga net and post set, and can be assembled in less than 10 minutes.

10. Replacement Rubbers

Many a time in the past my parents have bought me fresh Tenergys for a birthday or Christmas present. We all need to change our rubbers at least twice or three times a year so new rubbers can make a great Christmas gift.

Tenergy is easily the most popular rubber currently available. You can buy it for $74.99 from Megaspin (US) or £53.99 from TeesSport (UK).
