Yesterday the EFR- and Emergency Oxygen Provider Instructor courses are completed on Phuket for May 2018 in conjunction with PADI CDC Center 'Dive Asia' in Kata.

It was a couple of busy days with the ending of the current May 2018 PADI IDC, except for the open water training dives tomorrow, the EFR Instructor course and the Emergency Oxygen Provider Instructor course.

Busy but also interesting, educational and also fun! During the EFR Instructor course we looked at a few things outside of the curriculum, which made it even more interesting. One of the things we checked is the rescue service system, that consists of volunteers all over Thailand, who replace the ambulance service as we know it in the Western world.

During the Emergency Oxygen provider instructor course I can always throw in some of my experiences and knowledge of working at the Koh Samui hyperbaric chamber as a tender and operator. Lots of interesting information that I can share which hopefully gives a better insight in the workings of a hyperbaric chamber. It also stresses the importance of administering the highest percentage possible of oxygen, as early as possible after an incident.
