Swatter Tells YouTube Star He Made the 911 Call That Got a Man Killed

A 28 -year-old man was shot by police in Wichita, Kansas, Thursday night after someone called in a specious homicide report at his address. On Friday, the man who claims to have placed the request gave an interrogation on a popular YouTube channel.

The story that’s being delivered around online–but has not been able to affirmed by police–is that the 911 order was placed as part of a strife between two participates of the online first-person crap-shooter game Call of Duty. One of the parties involved wanted to “swat” the other–meaning to send police to his house as a prank–but he didn’t want to place the announcement himself. Instead, he contacted someone called ” Swautistic ,” that they had already boasted about swatting musicians and even shutting down major gaming happens by announcing in threats.

But the target apparently caused Swautistic a fictitious address, and that’s where police demonstrated up. An man film and killed Andrew Finch, 28, who didn’t play video games and appears to have been completely unrelated to the dispute.

On Friday, Swautistic dedicated an interview to YouTuber Keemstar, who has earned millions of readers by covering “drama” among online starrings like Jake Paul and Danielle” Bhad Bhabie” Bregoli.

Swautistic too admitted to writing a tweet that built the rounds of the Call of Duty society on Friday in which he claimed,” I DIDN’T GET ANYONE KILLED BECAUSE I DIDN’T DISCHARGE A WEAPON AND BEING A SWAT MEMBER ISN’T MY PROFESSION .”

Update 2:39 pm CT : strong> According to NBC News and the Associated Press, a 25 -year-old man called Tyler Barriss has been arrested in Los Angeles. Barriss reportedly compiled the spurious report after get into the dispute, and is in accordance with police, Barriss is the one who presented powers the fake address.
