By now, you’ve probably accompanied the name ‘Keaton Jones’ mentioned by at least one of your favorite fames on Twitter. The young student from Knoxville, TE has moved viral after appearing in a harrowing video that uncovers the true injury bullying causes.
“They make fun of my snout. They call me ugly. They say I have no friends, ” Keaton says through rips in the video posted by his mother, Kimberly, which was reportedly entered after Keaton had to be picked up from school to shun lunchtime bullies. Though he goes on to detail how he and other children at his academy are taunted and plagued, he offers a message of inspiration, and culminates the video by telling women victims of browbeat that “it’ll perhaps get better one day.”
The strong video struck a chord with viewers – including a entire emcee of famed fronts. From Katy Perry, to Demi Lovato, to Chris Evans, fames across the board are mobilizing around Keaton, and it’s fully recovering our faith in humanity. New Jersey resident Joseph Lam has even set up a GoFundMe page to substantiate Keaton’s future, which has already collected almost 47 thousand dollars.
“We all know how it feels to want to belong, but only a select few know how it certainly seems not to belong anywhere, ” Kimberly Jones writes on Facebook. Hopefully, if more children like Keaton come forward with their narratives, the cycles/second of bullying and segregation will be broken.
