Steph Curry Breaks Cleveland’s Back With This Timely Fourth-Quarter Three

Steph Curry has seldom looked like his two-time MVP self in the 2016 NBA Playoffs after a knee injury sidelined him in the first round against Houston and into the Conference semifinal vs. Portland. Fighting injuries and fatigue, he’s ceded a lot of agency to Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, and Draymond Green in the Golden State Warriors’ defense of their 2015 championship. The Warriors, deep and relentless, have gotten within three wins of a repeat even without their main man playing at his best.

Curry can still knock you out, though. In Game 2 of the NBA Finals Sunday night, he did just that. Capping off a run that already had his Warriors up 20 in the third quarter — this following a strong run by LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers before the half — Steph broke Cleveland’s back with this ridiculous thirty-something-footer.

Draymond’s shooting beforehand makes this even more unfair.
