CORONATION—Miss Jean Moorhead of Santa Monica is crowned as Miss Hollywood at Palladium by Orchestra Leader Les Brown. Winning over nine other contestants, she will represent Hollywood in Miss Universe contest to be conducted in Long Beach next month.

Jean Moorhead would go on to star in the classic American exploitation film The Violent Years as well as other films and TV shows.

She would give up her acting and modeling career in 1961 to start a family.
