Recently Prasar Bharati Invited applications from satellite TV channels to fill up vacant MPEG-2 slots of DD Free dish DTH. (45th e-Auction Results)
So it is very good news for DD Free dish viewers that Star Utsav, Zee Anmol, Colors Rishtey, Sony PAL, and Zee Anmol Cinema have won the DD Free Dish Slot.
Currently, these TV channels have been added on DD Free dish on a pro-rata basis for the period of 10 June 2020 to 31 March 2021.
These channels will be available on DD Free dish from 10 June 2020. During lock-down, lots of DD Free dish viewers had requested to Prasar Bharati to add these TV channels.
Finally, DD Freedish viewer's wish has accepted by private broadcasters, now Star Utsav, Zee Anmol, Colors Rishtey, Sony PAL, and Zee Anmol Cinema will be available on Doordarshan direct to home service.
We will update channel numbers and frequencies for the above channels as soon as possible.
