It’s easy to write funny stories, it’s not easy to ask for help.

As some of you know, my mom has been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s. My brother and I have been able to support her and cover the costs of all her requirements, and will continue to do so.

I had booked a ticket to see her in August as she was not doing well mentally. Sadly the Situation has now escalated and I need to get to her immediately. My budget now cannot extend to the cost of a last minute, high season flight.

The most amazing mother and genuinely kindest person in the world is suffering, frightened and in danger of causing harm. I am not there and I need to be with her and make some hard decisions. I know it’s a lot to ask, and I am not one to seek a handout, but there is no place for pride in these situations. If you can give any amount, no matter how small to contribute, thank you, from the he bottom of my heart.
