Though they serve the same purpose in the construction industry, Marble and tiles are very different in terms of their origin and properties.Just like granite, sandstone and limestone; marble is a stone, which is directly obtained from natural reserves and bears appearance and properties that are inherent and cannot be altered. One can only cut and carve it to get the desired product. Marble imparts a natural look to any space and a few varieties of the same are elegant enough to give a stately touch to any space. • In bathroom installations, it gets stained even more quickly when remain in contact with water for long
  • Discoloration might occur when exposed to acidic environment (soap or detergent) for an extended period of time

Tiles, on the other hand, are hard-wearing, man-made material that consist of ceramic, metal, stone and sometimes glass as well. The properties and looks of tiles can be altered as it is completely manufactured under human-controlled conditions. Moreover, tiles can imitate any design and finish, since it is wholly processed. Under this category ceramic tile is the most common one, which comprises atoms of non-metals, metalloids and metals that are combined through ionic and covalent bonds.
