Working of a ceiling fan
A ceiling Fan Installation works when the blades of the fan turn, pushing the air towards the ground, thus forming an overdraft. This makes a room perceptibly cooler. A few fan manufacturers provide the choice to substitute the function of the blade to push the air upward towards the ceiling. The airflow is thus reversed, resulting in the mixing of cooler air from the bottom of the room with the warmer air above. The room thus feels warmer. Residence with high ceilings benefit the most from this kind of downdraft and updraft functions.

The principal benefit of a ceiling fan installation in Hillsborough is that it is possible to lower or raise the thermostat temperature by a few degrees, according to the season, without any noticeable changes in temperature.
Good to know
The temperature of any room is not lowered by the use of a ceiling fan. It just generates a breeze which gives the effect of a room being a minimum of five degrees cooler than what was before. The effect of cooling affects the body only. It is logical that there is no sense in leaving a ceiling fan on inside an empty room.
