Twice a year, the home furnishings industry comes together at the International Furniture Market in High Point, NC to share the latest trends and styles. This Spring, Sheffield designers attended this event, and below are just a few of their favorite highlights of the show.
This bedroom by Chaddock looked like a breath of fresh air. The use of classic items like woven cane and blue ticking stripe fabric brought a familiar elegance to this modern space.
Last season, Stickley was a Pinnacle Award finalist for this fabulous desk in their new Martine collection. With the subtle curves of the desk beautifully echoing the grain of the cherry wood, it is very much deserving of the award.
A stand-out at the Baker showroom was this King George IV Highback Chair. Its design hints at the English extravagance of 1830, pairing a tall, winged silhouette with low rounded arms and upholstery with unusually deep fringing. Flanked by two-toned lowboys, this piece caught our eye.
Century Furniture had curves in all the right places this spring. The unique shapes these sectionals made would be Perfect in a modern flat. We loved the heavily textured fabric that beautifully defined the sofas. Well done!
The sophisticated modern makeover on this classic swan neck cane bench by Chelsea House not only caught our eye, but also that of Style Spotter Kurt Jacob Miller!
The rich ambiance of the John-Richard showroom was unforgettable! The deep emerald walls were the perfect backdrop to show off this incredible chandelier!
Yes, please. The new Osborne Buffet by Vanguard was stunning! It is a part of their Make It Yours Lifestyle Cabinet Collection. It certainly made us all want to make it ours. We love that hardware!
The detail in this flip-top console by Jonathan Charles took our breath away. Stunning intricate flowers in a trellis pattern are hand-painted in silver leaf and adorn the top of this piece. Absolutely beautiful!
This table perfectly sums up the mood from this market… whimsical, happy, and a little daring. High Point left us feeling that today is the perfect day to start a new design project!
