Designing My Own Bedroom

Even before I have started this home blog, I already Love to design my own space.  I have developed this great love for interior decorating since I have started dreaming to build my own home.  I grew up with parents who did not have that passion for styling and Beautifying Homes. For them, functionality is more important than beauty but not in my case, I personally believe that I have to strike a balance in between.  If you could make it functional and at the same time pleasing to the eyes, that would be a lot better, right?

However, I am a practical person and I believe most Moms are and I have developed this great love for anything DIY.  Why not? it does not only bring out your creative juices but you get to save a lot of money in the process.  Who says that beautifying homes should only be limited to those who can afford?

Just recently, I have worked on completing my new master's bedroom.  it's on the second floor so I have the chance to have a small veranda where I can sit and relax and get some fresh air.  I was so fortunate that my eldest was here to assist me every step of the way.  He is such a big help in providing some ideas and doing some of the things himself.

This sliding glass door leads to my veranda where I plan to put up a coffee table and pocket garden.

I personally asked our handyman to fabricate s small table for me where I could do a little of office works. What you see in the picture is not the final thing yet.  As of this time, I have gradually introduced a lot of improvements.  I wonder why this appears to be too small in this picture.  Underneath, I would be putting up a personal ref.

The shape of the room is a bit odd because the space on the left side was taken away by the staircase so the whole room was no longer square.  But hey...that's the challenge,  right? Making every space functional is a must but the key is you don't have to lose your artistry.

This wall art was a joint effort from my two kids and I so loved it! It made my dull wall appear more interesting.

I'm not totally done yet but I will do the rest little by little. You know DIY decors take time. :)

I'll keep you posted!
