The International Building Code (IBC), developed by the International Code Council (ICC), is a model building code that has been adopted and used as a base code standard throughout most of the USA. There are currently two types of Fire Rated Housing offered – 1 hour or 2 hour rating that will depend on floor to ceiling assembly fire-rated design.
