The irreverant campaign features a full-length song, I’m Drinking It For You, and music video, and is already at number two on the New Zealand iTunes charts. The campaign, for DB Export’s new Low Carb beer, encourages couples to choose a low carb beer as a romantic gesture for your other half.
DB believes the campaign breaks new ground by recognising male and female drinkers equally.
The ballad was recorded by kiwi singers Keshia and Tom with the two rising stars also performing in the music video. The song is available on a host of streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple music. Remixes will also be available and DB Export will host live performances around New Zealand.
The campaign also includes karaoke beer tastings, beer bouquets and digital singing telegrams, where users can customise lyrics for their loved ones.
The campaign was created by ColensoBBDO and directed by Damien Shatford from The Sweetshop.
