Business On The Move: Deliveroo, Carlsberg, Levi's India And More

Agency wins

Deliveroo has awarded the7Stars, the UK's largest independent media agency, its UK and Ireland media planning and buying account. The British food delivery company, which is headquartered in London, has grown rapidly since launching in 2013.

Fold7 has been appointed by Carlsberg to build on the global brand positioning and deliver a global creative platform for the brewer, following the success of its brand relaunch for Carlsberg in the UK.

The work is set to start rolling out at the start of 2018. Once launched, it will be the first global campaign running simultaneously in all markets.

Levi’s India has handed its creative duties to OMD India which will be managed out of the Bengaluru office with immediate effect. The partnership will involve the use of both offline and digital channels as well as sophisticated uses of data to engage Levi’s consumers in innovative ways.

Tourism Vancouver has tasked McCann's Vancouver office with handling its global launch. Following a competitive RFP process that involved top local and international agencies, McCann West in British Columbia was awarded the business in October and will develop a new creative and visual identity, as well as an international launch campaign in target markets around the world.

Fire safety and explosion protection firm Fike has appointed BJL, the independent integrated agency, to oversee communications across Europe, the Middle East and Africa following a competitive pitch. Adopting marketing and PR duties, BJL will liaise with Fike’s European and US headquarters to devise international campaigns in support of new product launches and the wider brand.

Free bike sharing platform, Ofo, has appointed Fusion Media to handle its consumer PR brief for the UK market. The agency will focus on growing awareness of bike sharing in the UK, while also engaging specialist, consumer and lifestyle media with the brand and its push to grow cycling in the UK.

Goomo.com, an Indian travel-tech company has appointed Dentsu Webchutney as its creative agency.

As part of the mandate, Dentsu Webchutney will create both online and offline campaigns to reposition the brand and raise awareness about it. The agency will work closely with Goomo’s branding and marketing team to launch the brand in India.

Far East Organisation has appointed PHD Singapore as its media agency of record, which will expand PHD’s duties for the developer to now include integrated media planning and buying, in addition to the digital services the agency has been providing since 2015.

Reviews

Pizza Hut has kicked off a review of its creative account in the UK, last valued at around £10m. The account currently sits with Ogilvy & Mather, which won the business in 2014 without a pitch. Pizza Hut has struggled in recent years, with competition coming from long-term rivals Domino's as well as newer players such as Deliveroo and Just Eat.

Acquisitions

Accenture has acquired Irish agency Rothco for an undisclosed fee. Accenture's managing director Joy Bhattacharya, explained the rationale behind the takeover - Accenture's 10th in 2017 - to The Drum yesterday.
