Agency wins

Capital One has appointed 7stars to its multi-million-pound media account. 
The independent agency will kick off high-budget campaign across digital, outdoor, TV, press and radio in December.

Air Canada has awarded FCB Canada its retail platform mandate. Air Canada’s retail communications will require involvement from all of FCB’s Canada offices, including FCB Toronto and FCB Montreal, which will continue to lead the business. FCB will develop the company’s new innovative global retail platform.

The new retail mandate marks more than two decades of successful creative business between FCB Canada and Air Canada.

Monkey Shoulder and Drambuie have tasked Space with handling their global creative accounts.

The London-based agency already works with the brands' parent company William Grant & Sons on its Glenfiddich product, and has been tasked with bringing to life Monkey Shoulder's 'Make it Monkey ' platform with digital and social content and on-trade toolkits for use in local markets.

For Drambuie, the agency has been briefed to make the drink more relevant to a younger audience.

Digital marketing agency DigitasLBi has won the digital strategy business for Roche-Foundation Medicine in APAC.

Working in partnership with their lead strategic and creative agency McCann Health Singapore, DigitasLBi will develop B2B digital marketing strategies to better communicate with and educated oncologists across the region.

Indian brand Dalmia Bharat Group has awarded their out-of-home (OOH) mandate to Dentsu Aegis Network’s OOH Media and Experiential agency Milestone Brandcom for the eastern region following a multi-agency pitch. The business will be handled by the agency’s Kolkata office. 

Milestone Brandcom shall provide planning , buying and creative innovations of outdoor media and experiential communication across six states in east region which includes Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

Northgate, the commercial vehicle rental provider, has appointed Fold7 following a competitive pitch involving three other agencies.

Fold7’s remit will be to build brand equity and a lead generation pipeline across the main Northgate brand and its retail sales arm, Van Monster.

Dean Foods, the largest processor and direct-to-store distributor of fresh milk in the United States, has named Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal & Partners its agency of record, following a pitch led by new Global CSO Ted Flora. KBS will work with Dean across a number of their brands - including DairyPure, Caribou Iced Coffee and Dean's Country Fresh.

The Football Association (FA) has handed the men's national team creative brief to Wieden + Kennedy London, which will work collaboratively with the FA’s own in-house team, following a competitive pitch. The win will see the England men’s national teams benefit from a new creative direction and brand messaging in the run-up to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Acquisitions

Bain Capital has announced that it has officially acquired an majority stake in Asatsu-DK (ADK), after a long and protracted battle with ADK’s former holding company, WPP. The announcement said that Bain and ADK will actively invest in core areas of future business expansion, including digital, data and the content business, which will enable Bain to adapt to the evolving advertising market both in Japan and overseas.

Culver City’s T Group Productions is acquiring Big Boots Studios, a studio founded by Roger Mincheff that's described as a digital house “dedicated to engagement platforms.”

According to T Group, the new acquisition is part of the company’s commitment to prioritizing digital and branded content. Earlier in the year, T Group worked with Johnsonville and Droga5 to produce a sausage-themed reality cooking show called The Sausage Dome.

The Stagwell Group announced the acquisition of London-based digital marketing agency Forward3D. Stagwell Group, a digital marketing and investment firm founded by former Clinton adviser and strategist Mark Penn, has a mission to reinvent the traditional advertising agency holding company model by focusing on digital-first marketing services. It chose Forward3D for its focus on performance marketing.
