On Wednesday, (7 September), The Drum held its annual Recruitment Business Awards, celebrating the incredible talent, innovation and success within the UK recruitment industry. 

Now in its fifteenth year, last night recognised and awarded individuals and companies like Charlton Morris, Finegreen, Chatter Communications and Tonic, for their outstanding contribution to the industry.

Chairman of the creative judging panel, Steve White, Calgary Communications said: “The shortlist and the nominations showed yet again that creative standards and innovation are on the rise, and we have a shortlist to be proud of.

“The winners have been chosen though strong debate around ideas, innovations, creativity and results and show that creativity, a willingness to harness new ideas and enthusiasm are alive and well in the regions.”

Taking seven awards on the night was the employer marketing business agency Tonic, who took home; best outdoor/special brand/experiential, best graduate campaign, best video/animation, best innovation, best website, recruitment advertising agency of the year and top prize grand prix,

Other big winners include: Charlton Morris who took the chairman’s award for business, Chatter Communications taking the chairman’s award for creative and Finegreen who won recruitment company of the year.

Also taking home trophies were Pink Squid, Havas People, Jupiter and Thirty Three - the latter of which claimed the prize best art direction and best use of social.

This year's black-tie event took place at Manchester’s MIdland Hotel and were sponsored by TotalJobs, The Drum Jobs, TINT, The Drum Network and The Drum Contributor Network.
