Let’s take a look at the 3BHK interior design cost difference in few Indian cities.

Mumbai: As one of the most expensive Indian cities, the cost of buying and designing are pretty high here. If you are planning to design a 3BHK of 1000 square feet area, be prepared to shell out 20L approximately, since the cost per square feet is around 2,000/- with material cost and labor charges standing on the average side.

Delhi and NCR (Gurgaon and Noida): Next in line is the capital city of India, Delhi along with Gurgaon and Noida from the NCR zone, barring Ghaziabad and Faridabad. An average 1200 square feet apartment @Rs.1000/sq.ft designing cost would amount up to 12L with both material cost and labor charges inclined towards the lower end.

Bangalore: While flat cost is less in Bangalore, material and labor charges are on the higher side. You can expect to spend around 7.5L for designing a 1500 sq.ft apartment in the garden city.

Hyderabad: This may seem a little odd but prices in Hyderabad are lesser compared to Pune or Bangalore. So, if you have a 3BHK in this city, you are lucky! Interior design cost wouldn’t be more than 6L for a flat of 1500 sq.ft. area.

Pune: Pune is pretty much similar to Bangalore in terms of flat cost, material cost and labor charges. So, 3BHK interior design cost would amount to around 7.5L.

A common trend seen in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities is that while material cost increases, labor cost decreases proportionally, thus affecting the final cost.

No matter which city you are in, with proper planning and investment, you can live in the house of your dreams.
