If you’re the handy type, you might be interested in a DIY outdoor swing set installation, tackling the task on your own. If DIY is not your style, your options are to have swing set installation included in your purchase or hiring an independent contractor or handyman to complete installation for you.

At Swing Kingdom, our installation teams set-up about 70% of the swing sets and playsets we sell and another 25% of our swing sets are installed by the certified and trained staff from our dealer network. The final 5% of our swing sets are broken down and delivered as “kits” to be set-up by the customer. But every swing set we build, in all 50 states and out of the country, has the option to be installed by a Swing Kingdom certified installer.

Here are some things to consider when choosing the best installation method for your outdoor swing set.

Swing Set Installation Included

For an additional fee, usually a percentage of your purchase price, you can choose to have your swing set installation included in your purchase. Even if you live halfway across the country from our manufacturing facility, a certified installation team will arrive and quickly set-up your playset. A team of three professionals can usually have final installation completed in 2-3 hours.

You just mark the area of your yard that you’ve set aside for your swing set and let us know what direction it should be facing, and we’ll handle the rest. Using our installation team gives you the peace of mind that your swing set will be installed by professionals who are certified in swing set safety.

Hiring a Swing Set Installer

In addition to installation by the manufacturer, you also have the option of hiring your own installation team for the task. Many general contractor or handyman services include swing set installation on their list of services. You may also find companies in your are that are solely dedicated to swing set installation.

Pricing for hiring an independent swing set installer will depend on the level of difficulty, the time required, and the location and accessibility of your installation spot.  For a small- to medium-sized swing set pricing can range from $200-400, while large-sized swing sets can range from $425-800.

This installation process may cost you additional hours, as play set kits need to be broken down and shipped in smaller sections compared to when manufacturers deliver the final product in their own trucks.
