#2. Machakara Balamurugan Temple

The uniqueness of this Sri Murugan temple is that the Lord Muruga graces the holy temple here in the form of a pretty little boy. The vimana here has been created in the peacock design, which is the Lord Muruga’s Vahan. On auspicious days and during festivals, the Lord is decorated with kumkum on his cheek, covering a mole that can only be seen on such occasions.

Dressed each day with clothes the colour of the planet ruling the day, the Lord blesses those who pray with this particular colour of clothing. The Lord comes around in procession during the evenings.

#3. Shri Maha Varahi Temple

This is the temple of Varahi, the Goddess of earth. The unprecedented popularity of this temple is the belief that chanting the name of the Goddess three times consecutively here relieves one of all problems.
