Another day, another Rescue Beauty Lounge manicure. Seriously, I basically bought every color before the brand went out of business recently. Rescue Beauty Lounge Morning Light was a necessity.

I mean, seriously. LOOK AT THIS COLOR. The bluish grey base is speckled throughout with faded gold microshimmer, creating a color that really does feel like early morning light. I used two coats here -- one was fairly opaque, but two gave it added depth and dimension.

I actually think this color has a calming effect on me -- all I have to do is look down at my nails and I'm instantly transported to a comfortable bed with an oversized, fluffy comforter.

This color also feels perfectly transitional. It would be equally perfect no matter what the season. And, even though it's on the greyer side, it doesn't feel depressing to me on a grey winter day. (And, yes, I know I live in LA now, but it's actually cold and grey here today, so I can still say that.)

With a shade like this, who wouldn't welcome an early morning?
