Forza Motorsport 2 is concentrating on circuit racing. This game can support three(3) modes; Single Player, System Link and Online multiplayer. Physics and damage engine were improved over the previous entry in which it was classified into three(3) setting; Simulation Setting- large impacts on the cars with medium speed crashes, Limited Setting- lightly crashed but damaged on the car is limited, and Cosmetics- damage were merely visible but does not affect the aerodynamics of the car.

Forza Motorsport 2 can choose from 300 available cars which is divided int six(6) production; Class D- Standard production, Class C- Sport production, Class B- Performance production, Class A – High performance, Class S ­ Ultralight performance and Class U – Unlimited production. Forza Motorsport 2 was also divided into four race cars; Class R4- Heavily modified production cars, Class R3 – High-end purpose built, Class R2- Ultrahigh-end purpose built, and Class R1 – Prototype races cars.
