One of the favorite parts of our card-making job is trying different techniques.

We saw the tools for this Quilling Technique and decided to jump in without even trying it first. (Jumping in can be fun, and we love to do that with different techniques).

The kit we purchased came with two of the quilling tools, many skinny strips of colored paper, and a booklet to show you how to create flowers. Obviously with this technique the options are endless of what you can create.

After creating numerous flowers (since those are the instructions we had) we decided to try something a little different.

We challenged ourselves to make a martini glass for a bachelorette party invitation project. And here it is! We love it, especially the olive!

So during your next project, take a technique you are already familiar with and figure out a way you can use it a little differently to create something new that is still true to the original technique.
