Oh My Goodies! So many going Bye-Bye as I continue to celebrate retiring Stampin’ Up! products! It’s Wednesday and you know what that means… I’m over at the Paper Craft Crew for the Weekly Card Sketch Challenge! Come on over and check out this weeks sketch as well as the Design Team submissions. The challenge starts today and ends on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 11:55 pm EDT.
Oh My Goodies going Bye-Bye
This week I’ve been focused on Teacher Appreciation as well as Stampin’ Up! Retired products. As I’ve been making Teacher Appreciation Gifts, I re-discovered the Oh My Goodies Stamp Set. Each stamp has been perfect as I create packaging for the gifts. Of course, I’ve messed up by not photographing each project which is so unlike me. Tomorrow I’ll be sharing the Berry Basket Bigz L Die that I’m using as gift packaging for my son’s teachers. Both his teacher and assistant are receiving a basket filled with fresh picked Strawberries!
Caleb’s teachers filled out a survey provided by the PTA so parents would have an idea of what the Teachers like or needed for the classroom. On Monday, Caleb gave his teachers Starbuck’s Gift Cards then Tuesday was a 4 Pack of Triple Zero Yogurt. Today’s card will go to school on Thursday when I send a Doughnut for his Speech Therapist.
Oh My Goodies Doughnut Card
The background layer is Cucumber Crush layered with Whisper White and a strip of decorative Paper from the Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack. I stamped the “Thanks” with Cucumber Crush Classic Ink then used the Deco Labels Framelits. I’m sad to announce that the Deco Labels Framelits are retiring. Next, I used another retiring stamp set called Sprinkles on Top and stamped the Doughnut shapes using Watermelon Wonder and Crushed Curry. The doughnuts were punched out using the 3/4″ Circle Punch then I used the 1/8″ Handheld Punch to punch out the center of the doughnut. On the doughnuts with little “bites” taken out of them, I hand cut with the paper snips. Each doughnut was then attached and I added a little linen thread bow as the finishing touch.
So, anyone hungry for a doughnut now? Of course, I just realized that Caleb’s Speech Therapist never specified the TYPE of doughnut was her favorite! I know my favorite doughnut is a Boston Cream doughnut.
