 SUO! Challenge #160 – Fall Theme

I love the Hardwood background stamp!  When I was thinking of what to make for a Fall card for this challenge, I knew I wanted to use the Vintage Leaves.  As I fell asleep Sunday night, inspiration struck me!  The Hardwood Background Stamp is the perfect backdrop for the Vintage Leaves.  A bit of Linen Thread continues the fall theme by adding a rustic touch to the card.  Next, I finished the card with a touch of copper with the embossed Thanks from the Hello You Thinlits.

It isn’t often that I use a card base other than Whisper White but today’s Fall Themed card just begged to have a Soft Suede card base with a layer of Delightful Dijon.  The Hardwood background is stamped using Crumb Cake with the leaves featuring Cherry Cobbler, Tangerine Tango and Delightful Dijon.

Tips, Tricks and Reminders from SunnyGirlScraps:

• Background Stamps.  Background stamps are a great way to set a tone and are very economical.  The Hardwood background stamp is so versatile and great for layering!

• Vintage Leaves Stamp Set.  The Vintage Leaves Stamp Set is absolutely gorgeous and is the perfect stamp set for fall but can also work for all seasons.

• Embossed Thanks.  Are you wondering how I created the “copper thanks” for the card?  To create the sentiment, I cut three of the thanks out then glued them together to set a thick base.  Next, I took versamark and stamped the Thanks, sprinkled the embossing powder over the thanks then heat embossed.  The embossing step is actually done twice.
