"You Me Infinity Hearts Candle Holder Scroll Saw Pattern.

I want to thank all the members of the Dallas Ft. Worth Scrolers Club in Irving TX. I appreciate your kind support of the Scrollsaw Workshop.

If anyone is in the Irving area and would like to join a group of dedicated scrolers, they meet the last Saturday of each month from 9:30 to 11:00 am at the Georgia Farrow Recreation Center. Check out their website for more details. The next meeting is February 24.

This small candle holder should make a nice Valentines Day gift. The infinity hearts need to be as smooth as you can cut them. Errors cutting the curves will stand out. Just take your time and remember sand paper is your friend. Sand away any mistakes.

The brass candle dish I used in this project is actually a sliding door finger pull sold at hardware stores. They are available at Home Depot for under $1. A reader sent these to me a few years ago and I am just now using them. They work good for this type of project. I apologize that I con't remember her name to give her credit.
You can cut a hole in the base to install the brass dish or you can cut the wooden ring in the pattern and install the dish in it. The brass finger pulls have barbs on the edges to grab the wood and keep them from coming out.

I glued the wood ring to the base then installed the brass dish.

The spindle sander is a valuable tool in any scroll saw workshop. It's what I call my ut-oh fixer. If you have trouble cutting a curve this can fix the bad spots. I will usually leave the pattern on the wood after I finish cutting. Then I take the wood to the spindle sander and sand to the pattern line. Errors magically disappear.

I have the Ryobi version of this machine. It's no longer sold but this WEN gets very good reviews also.

If you are interested in buying this tool please consider using my Amazon affiliate link above. Your price stays the same and I get a small kick back. Thanks for your support.
