You guys know that I plan everything! I have to with my super crazy busy schedule! Anyway, I had been looking around for the right planner and that's when I learned about The Happy Planner. I looked at multiple videos on it and I really liked the layout of it. I didn't have the funds then to buy it, so I just put it in my Amazon shopping cart for when I was ready to order it.
Well.....! I was grocery shopping about a couple weeks ago and I had to go into the school supply aisle for something for hubby and what did I see? The last one! The Happy Planner! After calling hubby and re-arranging monies around with my calculator, I got it! I was super excited, because it's not a regularly stocked item.
Anyway, for the past couple of weeks, I've been writing and designing in it. It is an 18-month planner so that meant I can use it now which was cool. I grabbed me some stickers from the dollar store and off I went! It gives you a monthly and weekly view and divides the weekly view by morning/afternoon/evening. So cool for writing down projects or appointments.
The tabs for each month are in various colors and the inside is black and white polka dots...love it! It's so stylish. I created two pockets so that I could hold index cards and stickers or coupons. I inserted them in the front and back of the planner. If you're looking to make some pockets for your planner, I've embedded a YouTube video at the bottom of this post. It is so easy and fun to make and can be used as a standalone card.
It has sections throughout or dividers and I printed some bible verses and inserted them. The stickers I use are just little stars in different colors so I color code my tasks from urgent to not important. This way the important ones get my attention quickly. I do a lot of writing in my planner and I purchased some extra sheets just for note taking. The sheets fit in the planner very easily. Also, I like that for each month, there's a sheet that I can write in birthdays and what I'm currently doing like what I'm reading, cooking, etc.
Here's the video for making those pockets! If you have trouble viewing it here, click here to watch it on YouTube.
It's not just a journal, it really is a tool for me to organize my to-do lists, appointments, conference calls, and tasks and so I don't need two separate calendars like I was doing before. It's an all-in-one for me and I'm happy I found the last one (no pun intended!)
