Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

I am so excited to be sharing some fun alternative ideas to the May 2019 Hugs From Shelli Paper Pumpkin Kit. This kit is really special and was designed by Shelli Gardner. I’m absolutely in love with this gorgeous kit. I’m not usually drawn to a vintage feel but this kit is elegant with an understated vintage feel. I truly hope you enjoy!

Hugs from Shelli

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!

I have a fun, shabby chic card using the May 2018 Hugs from Shelli Paper Pumpkin Kit. The card utilizes the Stamp Set and card front to one of the notecard designs. But, I’ve completely repurposed the elements of the kit along with using other amazing Stampin’ Up! products.

Then, I have a cute and quick 3D project for you. This project features a treat bag with a cute tag. Again, I’m using more of the Amazing Stampin’ Up! products to create the treat bag. The tag utilizes another notecard front along with the stamp sets and pink thread.

Project #1 – Dear Friend Shabby Chic Card

The card base is Very Vanilla cardstock with a Pretty Peacock base layer stamped with the floral stamp from the Paper Pumpkin Kit using Pretty Peacock Ink. Then, I first crumpled the Crumb Cake cardstock then dry embossed with the Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I distressed the edges of the Crumb Cake cardstock.

I use the Stitched Nested Labels Dies to create the front banner using the script style notecard from the Kit. I’ve also created a frame of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies as an offset to the banner which I placed in the background. The flowers are stamped with Sahara Sand then I did a “quick” no-lines watercolor using blending pens on the very vanilla cardstock. I stamped the birds with Crumb Cake. The two birds and flowers are fussy cut.

Project #2 – Thank You Treat Bag & Tag

This 3D Treat Bag features a tag created using the Stitched Nested Labels and another card front design from the Paper Pumpkin Kit. I chosse the beautiful flowers for this tag.  The “Thank You” is stamped with Old Olive then each end is punched with the Triple Banner Punch. On the back, I added the Pink Thread then attached the banner to the top of the bag. Oh, and the Stitched Nested Label is just stapled to the bag. Then I added the fussy cut bird, adhesive-backed sequins and the additional sentiment. So simple yet cute.
