Yu Rentian Leisure Seal

Attractive Shou-shan –stone Seal, engraved by the seal carver 余任天 Yu Rentian.

Yu Rentian (1908-1984) was a very famous Chinese painter and one of the most important members of the Zhejiang-School.

A seal 4 characters are engraved: 洱海边上 Er hai bian shang (near the Er-river and the sea)

Side engraving with date (summer 1948) and name of the artist 戊子夏 任天.

16 x 16 x 40 mm, good condition.
