DIY Painted Honeycombs

These Diy Painted Honeycombs are a great addition to any party décor. I found a bag of these honeycombs at the thrift store last summer and finally put them to use. I knew I wanted to use them for my cousin’s bridal shower, but decided to give them a little makeover first. I love how sometimes the smallest touches can make such a big difference when it comes to decorations. what you need: honeycombs, paint, paint brush I found a nice big bag full of these pink and white honeycomb bells. Add some craft paint to a cup and add water. You want the paint nice and watery so you can drip it along the sides of the honeycomb. When you’ve added a good amount of paint to the honeycomb, gently open it up and clip open. You want to be careful not to rip the paper during this part. If you let it dry before opening, the paper could stick together so you want to do this when wet. Here’s a picture of a painted honeycomb next to a regular one. The paint is subtle, but definitely adds something extra. When the paint is dry, you are ready to decorate with your new DIY painted honeycombs. I tied a bunch of the bells onto a piece of fabric garland with yarn and it looked adorable. These turned out to be perfect bridal shower decorations.
