Recently Finished Embroidery Projects

I have been MIA for quite a while it seems. Oops. Sometimes I forget I have a blog where I can share my projects.

I wanted to share some of my recently Finished Embroidery Projects. The first two are Leisure Arts Mini Kits, which you can purchase on their website*.

The first is called “Wildflowers“*. This was actually hard for me because it was a lot of satin stitch, which I’m not very good at. For the most part I am pleased with the Finished piece, even if it’s a little imperfect when you get up close.

The next one is also from Leisure Arts. It was supposed to be a double Hoop, but I found that too difficult for me (maybe someday) but it looks just as nice without the center hoop. This one is called “Floral Hoop*”.

My ultimate goal is to fill the wall behind my bed. I am ever so slowly getting there:

The last project, which I just finished a couple of days ago is a free pattern by Jessica Long. It’s called “Wild Vines” and you can download the pattern from her website.

I did this one after purchasing some transfer markers on Amazon. Because it didn’t come in a kit, it didn’t come with pre-printed fabric. They were only $6.99 for six different colored markers. They are called “ibotti Iron On Transfer Pens”. I printed the pattern, held it against a window and traced it using the marker. Then just ironed it on the fabric. I was skeptical if it would work, but it actually worked really well.

This finished hoop is for my sister. I hope she likes it. I plan on making another “Wild Vines” hoop for myself with different colors.

That’s about it. Have not gotten much knitting done :/ It’s just too hot to knit. I’ve done a lot of weeding in the yard though, and even started growing vegetables! I’m very excited about that.
