There are some things you won’t buy for yourself, but you would totally love to get as gifts. You know, either they’re a little silly or just for fun, or are a bit of an extravagance you wouldn’t splash out for yourself, but secretly would love to have? I’ve compiled a list of these sorts of items. Some fall in the stocking stuffer category, some qualify as major gifts, especially the last one. I hope you enjoy browsing!
Chicken Veggie Treat Ball
I wouldn’t buy this for myself because I tell myself I can DIY a cabbage hanging from a rope, but truth is I’ve never done it because it’s a bit fussy, but I’d love to watch my chickens have a ball with this ball.
How much fun would it be to walk your best hen around the block? Yes, it would be a slow and meandering walk, but adorable.
Chicken Car Decal
You know you want this.
My Own Pet Balloons Chicken
This thing doesn’t float very high, just sort of wobbles around near the floor, and apparently is a complete hoot at parties, family gatherings, and even reportedly became the mascot of someone’s exercise class! Perfect white elephant gift!
I see these in the store and never buy them because they’re a bit pricey, but I secretly always want some. Especially when the kids were smaller and newer to chickens and it would have been so fun watching the kids watch the hens go wild over these treats.
Another good one for the gag gift party! And for that crazy chicken lady in your life.
ChickenGuard Automatic Chicken Coop Door Opener
If you really want to make a chickenista’s heart go pitter patter, give her this one! Saves remembering to close the coop door and lets you sleep in late guilt-free. If you’ve ever forgotten and lost a chicken to a predator, you know how much this would mean.
