CTO, CIO and Digital Officers discuss Robotic Automation and Digital Transformation at the WeSchool partnered, Computer Society of India (CSI) Mumbai Chapter organized IT Innovation and Excellence Awards 2018

Leaders in Information and Communication Technology have enabled businesses to innovate across multiple levels of production and people management. Customer interface and stakeholder communication is phenomenally changing through some of the finest IT teams across sectors. The Computer Society of India – Mumbai Chapter with academic partner, S.P. Mandali’s Prin L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool) felicitated CIOs, CTOs, and some of the well-designed and executed IT projects at the IT Innovation and Excellence Awards 2018, WeSchool, Mumbai Campus. The event was graced by Chief Guest, Dr. Sanjay Chahande, Deputy Director General, UIDAI NITI Aayog, Govt. of India and key note speaker, Gopali Contractor, MD, Accenture.  Prof. Dr. Pradeep Pendse, Dean Academics (PTM) and CTO,  WeSchool was the head of the jury for IT Innovation and Excellence Awards 2018.

The panel discussion ‘BFSI Cognitive and Emerging Technologies’ moderated by Gopali Contractor, MD, Accenture had speakers, Upendra Rao, GM (IT-SAP), State Bank of India; Byju Joseph, CTO, Future Generali India Life Insurance Co. Ltd; Viswanathan N, Head – AI & Cognitive Digital Solutions, L&T Infotech Ltd.; Sahil Ramchandani, Analytics & Insights Practise, TCS; Soubhagya Sahoo, CEO & Co-Founder, Gray Routes Technology Pvt.Ltd. and Rajnish Khare, Head – Digital Transformation & Mobility Banking, HDFC Bank Limited.

The second panel discussion ‘Robotics Automation and Digital Transformation’ moderated by Viswanathan N, Head – AI & Cognitive Digital Solutions, Larsen & Toubro Infotech Limited had speakers, Prabhakar Munnuswamy, Vice President – Application Development, Access Healthcare Services Private Limited; Samir Khare, Group Chief Information & Digital Officer, FMB Capital Holdings plc; Anirban Sinha, Head – IT, L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd; Mitul Mehta, Sr. VP and Head Marketing and Communication, Datamatics Global; Kamal Shah, CIO, Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd and Dr. Suresh Sinha,  CTO, Mahindra Finance.

Addressing the WeSchool students, IT professionals and leadership at the event, Dr. Sanjay Chahande, Deputy Director General, UIDAI NITI Aayog, Govt. of India said, “I take this opportunity to congratulate the award winners of the prestigious CSI- IT Innovation & Excellence Awards 2018. National Informatics Centre (NIC) has been the backbone for development in the governance sector in IT. IT sector has taken great strides in India. Today, IT is not only a crucial part of businesses but also an indispensible part of our daily life. We are fortunate to witness the revolution of IT sector in India which is also an engine of wealth creation and as well as driver of jobs in India. We aspire to become a global leader through Research & Development. With this in view, we are already taking initiatives towards encouraging a culture of innovation and will continue to take steps in this direction.”

Commenting about the CSI initiative, Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool said, “I would like to compliment all the winners on winning this prestigious award and CSI – Mumbai chapter for acknowledging IT leadership which defines and sustains innovation & excellence. It gives impetus to the individual achievers and companies as well, not only for the best practices but also for executing the next technology.
