Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT) is a well renowned Engineering Institute in Bangalore (Karnataka). The College Sir Mvit is named after Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, a well-known Engineer, Statesman and a former Divan of Mysore. Sir MVIT was founded and established in the year 1986 by the Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust (Sir KET).

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate should have passed second year PUC final examination in optional subjects. The age of the students should be 17 years at the time of admission. Minimum of 45% marks should be scored. SC/ST students should have obtained at least 40% of marks. The students should have passed in the entrance exam conducted by Government of Karnataka. Candidates are also given admission on the basis of Management Quota.

Admission to B.E is through CET, COMED–K and Management Quota.

The direct admission program through our management quota seats has 25% seats of the total intake. The eligibility criterion for direct admission is that a student needs to achieve minimum 50% marks in Math, Chemistry and Physics in 10+2 level.

The student also needs to additionally pay a development fees to the management as the seats are in high demand and very seats are very limited. The full amount has to be cleared without any instalments.
