Purple Haze Strain Highlight

Purple Haze is a sativa dominant strain that is a potent cross between the rare, Purple Thai and Haze strains. This bud boasts a THC level ranging anywhere from 14% to 19%. “Purple Haze” was named after Jimi Hendrix’s classic 1967 song and has become one of the most famous strains ever thanks to this song in the 1960s.

This bud is hard to find for sale online, a Netherlands-based seed bank Flying Dutchmen sells the original stock of Haze. Some cannabis enthusiasts trace a lineage to cross between Haze itself, and unspecified purple flowering indica, but offers a mentally stimulating effect, with a berry like taste.

The Bud

This strain is covered in thin, long, dark and light purple hairs, and a fine layer of milky white trichomes and sticky sweet resin. The bud has aromas like a sweet earthy berry, and a pungent berry taste, with also a hint of spice. It also has long dense pepper-shaped nugs that are a light minty green with purple undertones.

The High

Purple Haze high is described to be as one with almost immediate high energy cerebral stimulation and is also accompanied by an intense creative inspiration and blissful contentment. This strain is most often used for treating: mild stress or depression, it can also soothe minor inflammations like headaches or cramps. It may also leviate: Asthma, chronic pain, PTSD and nausea.

The Grow

The flowering for this bud is usually 9 to 10 weeks when grown indoors. The plants tend to grow tall so you may need to be trimmed back in order to fit in certain growing areas.
