Figs and Leaves Soap is one of my all-time favorite soaps! Every fall, we have lots of Figs around here and I love to make different kinds of stuff with them. Plus, the vineyard is full of beautiful grape leaves that can be really useful after the harvest season is over.
Figs are excellent for treating many skin problems, and they will give you a beautiful glowing skin. I try to incorporate figs in my cooking recipes whenever possible! This tasty fruit can help you get rid of ulcers and acne, as well.

DIY Figs and Leaves Soap Recipe
- 27 ounces’ coconut oil
- 38 ounces’ olive oil
- 17 ounces’ palm kernel oil
- 20 ounces’ fresh figs
- 12 ounces’ lye
- 1-ounce aloe Vera pulp
- 1 tablespoon shea butter

To get the fig mixture, place the eatable part of the figs in a blender or a food processor and mix them until smooth. Then place the mixture into a bowl, and add the rest of the ingredients and mix well with a large wooden spoon until you get a creamy, brown texture. In the end, put in molds and leave in a dry and cool place to stay for 24 hours.
This recipe is sized to fit my wooden molds; their dimensions are 11.5 inches by 16 inches by 2 inches.
Note: You may add the leaves in the end when the mixture is already in the molds – just cover the mold and the leave will stick to the mixture.
