Varicose veins Treatment Without Surgery

Varicose veins are Veins under the skin of the legs, which become wide, bulge, and twisted are very common and do not cause any major medical problems in most people. However, they may not seem pleasant and may also cause discomfort overtime in most cases.

NCBI states that some of the signs and symptoms of Varicose Veins can be:

  • Large veins that you can see just under the surface of your skin.
  • Mild swelling of your ankles and feet.
  • Painful, achy, or “heavy” legs.
  • Throbbing or cramping in your legs.
  • Itchy legs, especially on the lower leg and ankle. Sometimes this symptom is incorrectly diagnosed as dry skin.

These veins contain one-way valves to ensure that the blood flows only towards the heart. If the walls become constricted or clogged, failure of these valves takes place. Following that, the blood is allowed to flow down back in the veins and there is an immense amount of pressure felt when standing. The excess pressure leads to widening of the veins so that they do not close properly and compounds the problem. It leads to the formation of Varicose veins, and the large amount of pressure can cause discolouration in the affected area.

It is found through research that women are more likely to suffer from varicose veins. Up to 50% women are affected by varicose veins by the time they are 50 years of age. Hormonal factors including puberty, pregnancy, etc also affect the disease. It is very common for pregnant women to develop varicose veins during the first trimester. Pregnancy causes increases in hormone levels and blood volume which in turn cause veins to enlarge. But it should be noted that varicose veins don’t affect just women, they can happen to anyone.

Largely, the cause associated with varicose veins is a change in hormones in the body, and during this if there is an imbalance of pH levels, it can often affect the body in this way. So also, if a job involved standing or moving around for large periods of time, then the pressure on the veins in the legs is increased. Thus, if large amount of such pressure keeps on accumulating, then the possibility of varicose veins increases.

Other factors include aging, sudden leg injuries, standing for long periods of time, and obesity. All the factors are known to have an impact on the pressure that the veins are used to handling. As opposed to regular functioning, there is an additional load created by these conditions, which ultimately leads to the formation of this condition.

Most of the times, there are no symptoms as such for varicose veins. However, there is a physically visible, noticeable change on the affected veins in the body. The veins in the affected area can look puffy and bloated. Also, the affected area may appear discoloured as compared to other parts of the leg.

The notable symptoms of varicose veins are as mentioned here:

  • Prolonged aching in the legs.
  • Heaviness of the legs which leads to dragging your leg rather than walking properly.
  • Pain that increases a lot at the end of the day.
  • Swelling in the ankle in some cases.

Varicose veins can get worse over the years, and this often happens very slowly. Thus, we have to understand that varicose veins are an acquired, lifestyle disease. In some cases, doctors suggest that it is hereditary, but if healthcare is properly regarded, there will not be any development of the condition in the offspring.

In a few people the high pressure in the veins causes damage to the skin near the ankle, which can become brown in colour, sometimes with scarred white areas. Changes in the skin generally then indicate that you may need diagnosis.

So what all do people do to get rid of varicose veins?

Well mostly, many people including men prefer wearing stockings to hide their varicose veins from being visible. Note that this is not a solution and is only a temporary remedy for the veins not being visible. It does not help in treatment at all.

The second thing that people do is lie down with their legs against the wall in an upside down position. It is interesting to note that some doctors also recommend doing this. While this approach may help temporarily and increase the blood flow in the legs – the benefit is momentary. It does not help unclutter the varicose vein, nor does it help in reducing stress on the valves of the legs. So this exercise does not help in the long run.

The third thing people do is try home remedies such as apple cider vinegar. It is important to understand that the reason varicose veins form in the first place is the imbalance of pH in the body. Drinking apple cider vinegar which has acetic acid in it increases the level of acid in the stomach which does not help much. Again this is not a solution. Another alternative to this is lemon juice which is mostly citric acid. The thing with these home remedies is – you will never find a single case who has healed themselves with this stuff. It is simply something that offers momentary relief, at the cost of more permanent damage in the long run.

Another thing which medical practitioners suggest is to get operated. Now although this approach is widely used, it has its downside. The NCBI article – http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3289490/ states that varicose veins recurrence rate within 5 years of surgery can go as high as upto 60%.

This essentially means that if you have varicose veins and desire to get operated, there is a 60% chance you will get need to get operated within the next 5 years, then again followed by a 60% chance to get operated and so on. Basically this is a cycle where you have to keep getting operated. Not to mention the complications and side effects of the surgeries and their associated medications and costs.

Why doesn’t surgery work ?

Surgery for varicose veins simply cannot work. This is because varicose veins is a functional disorder in the valves of the veins. A surgery cannot fix the valves in the legs. Moreover, the problem is never in just one valve. The problem is that the body has a tendency to form varicose veins. To get rid of this tendency for varicose veins to develop, one needs to heal the valves which push the blood upwards. This is not something that cannot be done by surgery. That is why in surgical cases, there is a 60% recurrence rate.

How to Cure varicose veins?

There is a natural medicine for varicose veins. You need not feel embarrassed at all, because understanding your condition better will help you itself make the best decision for treating it well. There are natural remedies that will help you effectively eliminate varicose veins permanently. However, an important tip to keep in mind is this: varicose veins are an acquired lifestyle disease. This means that medicines can help you only if you also decide yourself by maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

NERVICA strengthens the valves & the inner linings of the veins so that the blood can flow upwards smoothly. It removes any constrictions in the affected portion near the veins. NERVICA also acts as a Neurovascular tonic, thereby giving strength to vascular and nervous system. This means that any veins were in the affected area and had their nerve endings damaged will now be replenished.

ACIDIM reduces production of free radicals & toxins, thus reducing the pressure on valves. A balance in the body’s pH levels in sufficiently maintained and the valves start functioning normally, allowing the blood to flow upwards smoothly. This addresses the root cause of the problem, thereby minimizing chances of recurrence of the same condition in the body later.

The two medicines are provided by a company called Grocare India which specialises in medicines for illnesses like these. The reason surgeries are not as effective as these medicines are that surgeries cost a lot and yet do not yield results. Some customers complain that after their surgery, the physical change has gone, but the pain still resides. This means that the root cause of the problem has not been tackled, and to do that, there is a specific method you have to adopt. A balanced diet, a healthy mindset and body, and the right medicines will help you overcome this condition for good.
