Quick & Delish Almond Milk Recipe

Anytime I would think of making my own nut Milk, sheer panic would set it. It seemed way too complicated and time-consuming than what I am currently comfortable with. If any of you know me by now, I like to keep things quick, simple and delicious. I don’t like to be bombarded with a long list of ingredients or multiple pages of recipe steps. I just don’t have time for that! So you could imagine my excitement when I finally came around to making my own almond milk (after an Instagram friend persuaded me) and realized how EASY it is!

So here you have it. . . it will probably take me longer to write this blog post than it does to prep and ultimately make the milk. . .

Step 1: Buy raw, unsalted, organic almonds
Step 2: Soak 1 cup almonds in a bowl of purified water overnight 
The water should be an inch over the almonds (soak 8-12hrs)

Almond soakStep 3: Drain almonds, place in Vitamix with 3.5 cups purified water
Step 4: Strain slowly through a cheese cloth into a large bowl

Almond milk bowlStep 5: Put bowl of milk back into Vitamix with fresh vanilla, 1/4 tsp
of cinnamon, and a pinch of salt
Step 6: Blend to mix, then pour into your favorite milk container
