What your Feces says about your health
To find out whether your intestine is in good condition, the easiest way is to monitor your bowel movement and check the condition of the feces.

Colour

The result of bowel movement is generally brown in colour.
The darker the colour the worse the condition of the intestine.
Aside the fact that it could be the result of taking certain multivitamins or medications, black colour stool can mean internal bleeding possibly due to cancer or ulcer.
Green colour stool however, could mean that  digestion took a shorter period of time.



Duration

Each bowel activity should take about 2-3 minutes.


Form

Loose stool: Whether it is caused by a meal that didn't sit well, a harmful bacterium, a virus or food poisoning, is a sign of gastro-intestinal trouble.


Blood in stool

This is a warning sign which could mean something as serious as cáncer. Even if it's a possible result of a tear in the anus or a condition like pile, a visit to the doctor's would be necessary.


Frequency

Average trip to the toilet should be between once and twice dailly. But when there is a drastic change from what is conveniente, either to the side of increase or a reduction (diarrhea/constipation) also spells health troubles and shouldn't be overlooked.
